On the occasion of the third edition of The Venice Glass Week - the Venice international festival dedicated to the art of glass - the Restaurant La Caravella presents “Purho presents the Royal Family - design Karim Rashid ", an event organized by Hotel Saturnia & International in collaboration with AtemporaryStudio, from September 7th to 29th.
Purho presents the Royal Family - design Karim Rashid
The exhibition, designed for the windows of La Caravella restaurant, which is located inside the hotel, offers a selection of Murano glass vases designed by Karim Rashid for Purho. Kount, Kountess and Knight are the names of the creations born from the designer's creativity, part of the largest collection called The Royal Family. An extremely prolific designer, Rashid has more than 3000 projects in production; he has received more than 300 awards and worked in over 40 countries. These numbers, which attest his extraordinary talent, are here exalted by the magnificence of Murano glass.
The Venice Glass Week 2019 at La Caravella Restaurant
Located just minutes from Piazza San Marco the Restaurant La Caravella is one of the most picturesque restaurants specializing in traditional Venetian cuisine. The restaurant offers a complete menu to satisfy the needs of each customer with culinary specialties based on fish, meat and vegetarian options, by revisiting the old recipes and presenting them in a colorful, creative and modern way. These are typical features of chef Alfonso Cicerale, whose recipes are accompanied by the best Italian labels, as well as by excellent foreign wines, selected by our sommelier, in a highly suggestive environment and, during the summer season, in the internal Venetian courtyard.
This prestigious initiative, together with the exhibition "3D Graal. Dreams drowned in the glass by Sini Majuri" at the Hotel Saturnia & International and "Purho. Tribute to Alessandro Mendini" at the Ca' Pisani Design Boutique Hotel, once again confirms the particular attention that the Serandrei family dedicates to the world of glass art and to the artistic and cultural life of the city.
